GreatIdeasNeedTime

Have you ever had an idea hit you, like in the shower or while you were driving? Maybe. But it’s more likely what actually hit you was part of an idea. A spark. The complete idea came much later.

I get elements of good ideas all the time. When I can, I share them with others. My design team. Close friends. We connect and we exchange. Everyone adds their thoughts. The idea evolves. Sometimes, the result is pretty impressive. It’s like a good stew. All the ingredients come together and simmer. Only then do the individual flavors become something new and delicious.

Truly great ideas take time. The theory of relativity didn’t hit Albert Einstein one day while he was showering. It developed gradually, progressively, moving from one idea to another over many years.

We all have ideas, and many have the potential to be something great. Combining them is the key. Who knows what we could unlock?

For Einstein, it was the universe.
